We are looking for an experienced GCP Lead Data Engineer to architect and implement scalable, high-performance data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building end-to-end data pipelines, cloud-native data architectures, and leading data initiatives in large-scale analytics environments. This role requires deep technical capability in GCP data services along with the ability to guide teams and drive best practices in modern data engineering.
Responsibilities:
Architect and implement scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Design and build end-to-end data pipelines using Apache Beam, Google Dataflow, and Apache Spark.
Develop robust data ingestion, transformation, and augmentation pipelines.
Build and optimise complex SQL queries for large-scale analytical workloads.
Implement data integration and preparation solutions using tools like Dataflow, Cloud Dataprep, SnapLogic, Python, etc.
Identify downstream implications of data migrations (data quality, governance, regulatory considerations).
Ensure scalable, high-performance data architectures enabling simplified access to massive datasets.
Provide best practices for pipeline operations and cloud data engineering standards.
Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders in a dynamic business environment.
