We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will design, build, and operate cloud-native platforms and services with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and platform to drive impactful technical initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain distributed, cloud-native services running on Kubernetes.
Develop software using Java, Kotlin, NET, TypeScript/Javascript as the Primary Language, ensuring high code quality and maintainability.
Architect and operate workloads on AWS, with a focus on services such as EKS, EC2 IAM, VPC, Lambda, and related cloud-native components.
Implement observability using tools such as OpenTelemetry, New Relic, Prometheus, and OpenSearch for tracing, monitoring, and logging.
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Pulumi and Crossplane, following GitOps workflows.
Use Argo Workflows and ArgoCD to orchestrate and automate deployments across environments.
Contribute to architectural decisions, design reviews, and technical direction of platform engineering initiatives.
Develop secure, high-performance microservices and containerised applications following best practices.
Participate in incident response, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to SRE practices such as defining and measuring SLOs/SLIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, ensure alignment, and drive projects to completion.
Mentor junior engineers, contribute to code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
Work effectively in Agile environments and contribute throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 4+ years of experience.
Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and best practices for container orchestration.
Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, NET, TypeScript/Javascript.
Strong experience with AWS, especially EKS, EC2 IAM, VPC, Lambda.
Strong expertise in modern monitoring and logging stacks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, New Relic, OpenSearch).
Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, and cloud-native CI/CD practices.
Proficiency with IaC using Pulumi or Crossplane.
Strong understanding of networking and security concepts, tools, and best practices.
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and containerization patterns.
Experience contributing to or working with cloud-native and open-source ecosystems.
