Data Storage & Warehousing Senior Analyst

Responsibilities:
Perform setup, deployment, and maintenance of Azure SQL, MongoDB, SQL Server and Snowflake cloud platforms and administration.
Manage security and access controls and tune Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake for performance and optimise utilisation.
Build high-quality solutions and establish design patterns to implement, monitor and maintain complex Snowflake and Azure Databricks solutions.
Implement CICD pipelines for the Cloud Databases deployment.
Configure and maintain database servers and processes, monitoring system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Configure and have a complete understanding of Azure Databricks cluster management, Snowflake architecture and Azure SQL.
Identify and Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimise problematic SQL queries in Azure SQL.
Perform DR and DB restore activities and must have strong programming experience in SQL, Terraform, and Python.
Should work on critical incidents and user service requests and be responsible for SLA adherence, tracking and reporting.
Collaborate with application/migration teams on database activities.
Should know how data gets processed and consumed in the Data Platform and how to automate the completed process.
Provides migration of database elements and online application components from development to the production environment.
Redesigns databases to address changes in business needs.
Performs database tuning and makes recommendations to optimise application performance.
Collaborates with the development and maintenance of standards, processes, policies, and procedures.
Performs support, as required, adhering to on-call processes and problem escalation processes.
Adhere to change management processes.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
Work as a member of the Database Administration Team to provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
Design, develop, and support database automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Azure Automation, and CI/CD pipelines to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and standardise database administration processes.
Configure, maintain, and support AI/Copilot-based operational agents for database monitoring, health analysis, incident response, query performance analysis, and automated operational workflows.
Develop intelligent automation and self-healing solutions for cloud database platforms including Azure SQL, Snowflake, MongoDB, and Databricks environments.
Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, forecasting, and automated remediation processes for database performance, storage utilisation, security compliance, and operational health.
Collaborate with DevOps, Data Engineering, and Application teams to integrate automation frameworks, AI agents, governance controls, and Infrastructure-as-Code standards across enterprise database platforms.
Ability to organise and plan work independently.
Participate in 24x7 support DBA on-call rotation.
Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
Ability to commute to work onsite 5 days a week.
Requirements:
Required Minimum: BS/BA degree in IT or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted instead of education.
6+ years of administration on SQL Server, MongoDB and Snowflake required.
6+ years of SQL Server and performance tuning experience is required.
8+ years of IT Support experience in an enterprise environment.
Experience with performance tuning and optimisation, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for Snowflake, Databricks, Azure SQL, MySQL.
Experience working with Windows Server, including Active Directory.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Experience with database automation using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Azure Automation, GitHub Actions, or similar orchestration tools.
Experience configuring and supporting AI/Copilot agents, operational assistants, or intelligent monitoring solutions for database and cloud platform environments.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD automation pipelines, and cloud-native operational tooling.
Experience implementing proactive monitoring, operational analytics, performance forecasting, and automated remediation solutions.
Database Professional certifications a plus.
Should have experience in Python and GitHub.
Experience in Configuration changes and Upgrades.
