We are looking for a highly skilled OLS (Optical Line Systems) Software Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics, with hands-on experience in optical communication systems, photonics, high-speed electronics, and coherent optical transmission technologies. The role involves developing, validating, and optimising software solutions for next-generation optical communication systems, working closely with hardware, firmware, and system engineering teams to support high-speed optical networking products.
Responsibilities:
Develop and support software solutions for Optical Line Systems (OLS) and high-speed optical communication platforms.
Design, validate, and optimise optical communication systems and photonic technologies.
Work with DWDM transmission systems, coherent optical communication technologies, and photonic integrated components.
Perform system-level validation and characterisation of optical communication hardware.
Analyse and troubleshoot high-speed optical and electrical communication systems.
Characterise RF and mm-wave interconnects, amplifiers, and high-speed components.
Perform measurements including S-parameter analysis, jitter measurements, ADC/DAC characterisation, and ENOB evaluation.
Develop automation scripts for laboratory equipment control, measurement, and data acquisition.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware, firmware, and software solutions.
Support product development, testing, performance optimisation, and customer issue investigations.
Create technical documentation and contribute to continuous process improvements.
