Lead Cognitive AI Engineer

Wipro is seeking a highly experienced Lead Cognitive AI Engineer to design, develop, and lead the implementation of enterprise-scale Cognitive AI and Agentic AI solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, Python, Snowflake, and Cloud technologies to build intelligent, autonomous systems that transform business operations and enhance decision-making. This role requires strong technical leadership, solution architecture expertise, and hands-on development experience in delivering production-ready AI applications.
The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:
Cognitive AI and Agentic AI:
Design and implement enterprise Cognitive AI and Agentic AI solutions capable of autonomous reasoning, planning, and task execution.
Develop multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, ADK, or equivalent orchestration platforms.
Build enterprise-grade Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions leveraging Large Language Models and vector databases.
Develop intelligent AI assistants, copilots, and workflow automation solutions.
Implement prompt engineering, tool calling, agent memory, guardrails, and AI observability.
Integrate AI agents with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and business systems.
Monitor, evaluate, and optimise AI model performance, reliability, governance, and security.
Data Engineering and Snowflake:
Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Snowflake Data Cloud.
Build and optimise Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, streams, and tasks.
Develop ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured enterprise data.
Optimise query performance, warehouse utilisation, and Snowflake cost efficiency.
Implement Snowflake features including Snowpipe, Time Travel, Cloning, Data Sharing, and RBAC.
Python Development:
Develop scalable backend applications, APIs, and automation frameworks using Python.
Build RESTful services using FastAPI or Flask.
Develop reusable AI components, data processing frameworks, and enterprise integrations.
Implement unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and coding best practices.
Leadership and Solution Architecture:
Lead architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
Mentor engineering teams and provide technical guidance on AI and data engineering best practices.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to define AI-driven solutions.
Drive innovation initiatives and contribute to enterprise AI strategy and technology roadmaps.
Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and Responsible AI practices.
Requirements:
10-15 years of overall IT experience.
Strong expertise in Python programming.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
Extensive experience in Cognitive AI, Agentic AI, or Generative AI.
Strong knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG, Prompt Engineering, Embeddings, and Vector Databases.
Experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, ADK, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
Advanced SQL development and performance tuning.
Experience building REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with AI governance, observability, and Responsible AI.
Knowledge of semantic search, knowledge graphs, and enterprise AI platforms.
Experience with vector databases such as FAISS, ChromaDB, Pinecone, or Weaviate.
Exposure to enterprise data integration, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing.
Familiarity with MLOps and AI model deployment.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred Certifications:
Snowflake Certification.
Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate.
AWS Certified Machine Learning - Speciality.
Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer.
Generative AI or LLM-related certifications.
