We are looking for an OLS Software Developer with strong experience in optical communications, DWDM, and coherent communication systems, combined with hands-on C/C++ programming skills. The candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating, debugging, and validating software for optical communication systems and working closely with optical hardware, communication algorithms, and system-level components.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain OLS/Optical Line System software using C/C++.
Develop software for optical communication and DWDM systems.
Work closely with optical hardware, system engineering, and test teams to develop and validate optical solutions.
Implement and debug software components related to coherent optical communication systems.
Work with different modulation schemes such as QPSK, 16QAM, and 64QAM.
Develop or integrate functionality related to Forward Error Correction (FEC) and optical signal processing.
Perform software debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis at system and hardware-software levels.
Analyze test results, identify issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for resolution.
Develop test utilities, scripts, and tools to support system validation and troubleshooting.
Work with laboratory equipment and optical/electrical test setups for system-level verification.
Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, technical documentation, and software quality improvements.
Requirements:
Strong hands-on programming experience in C or C++.
Strong experience in optical communications/optical networking.
Hands-on experience with DWDM systems.
Strong understanding of Coherent Optical Communications.
Good knowledge of coherent modulation techniques: QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM.
Strong understanding of FEC (Forward Error Correction) concepts.
Experience with optical/electrical system testing and troubleshooting.
Good understanding of optical transmission concepts and signal impairments.
Experience working closely with hardware, firmware, and system engineering teams.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
