We are seeking an Aviation Subject Matter Expert specialising in Crew Management Systems (CMS) to drive end-to-end business analysis, requirements management, and process optimisation across aviation modules. This role acts as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring functional clarity and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering: Conduct workshops, interviews, and process mapping for crew scheduling, flight ops, and safety.
Documentation: Prepare BRDs, FSDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with Agile practices; maintain traceability matrices.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product owners, architects, and delivery teams; manage change requests and perform impact analysis.
Quality Assurance: Support UAT planning/execution and validate deliverables against requirements.
Leadership: Mentor junior BAs and enforce documentation standards across CMS modules.
Requirements:
Strong BA expertise: requirements elicitation, gap analysis, process modelling.
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, MS Visio, Azure ADO.
Deep aviation domain knowledge: crew scheduling, flight ops, safety.
Familiarity with CMS platforms, FAA/EASA compliance, crew legality rules.
Technical awareness: REST APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, cloud-native platforms.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.
