Location: Hyderabad (Shamshabad, Near Airport)

Job Summary:
The Hardware QA Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance practices in the development and validation of avionics hardware systems. This role involves close collaboration with design, manufacturing, and integration teams to ensure that hardware components meet aerospace quality standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Review and verify hardware design documents, specifications, test plans, and reports for compliance with aerospace quality standards.
Conduct quality inspections and tests on electronic hardware (PCBAs, connectors, cables, LRUs, etc.) across incoming, in-process, and final stages.
Support the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance processes for hardware lifecycle in line with standards such as DO-254 and AS9100.
Assist in the execution of environmental and functional testing of avionics hardware.
Document and track hardware issues, defects, and non-conformances; support RCA and CAPA implementation.
Participate in configuration audits, First Article Inspections (FAI), and quality reviews.
Maintain quality records and documentation per project and regulatory requirements.
Work with suppliers to verify component quality and resolve hardware-related issues.
Coordinate with manufacturing and integration teams to ensure adherence to process controls.
Contribute to internal audits and support external audits by certification agencies or customers.
Skills & Competencies Required:
1. Technical Skills:
Good understanding of avionics hardware systems and electronic components.
Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (DO-254, AS9100, MIL-STD-810, IPC-A-610, etc.).
Knowledge of quality assurance tools: FMEA, 8D, 5 Why, Control Plans, etc.
Hands-on experience in hardware testing, inspection, and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and schematics.
2. Soft Skills:
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and documentation skills.
Effective communication and coordination abilities.
Proactive mindset with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace/defence hardware QA processes.
Exposure to certification/compliance activities for aviation-grade products.
Basic knowledge of configuration management and test planning.
