Financial Reporting will lead the Financial Reporting function of the Bank and be responsible for end-to-end financial reporting, audit management, and financial governance. The role ensurestimely, accurate and compliant financial closes under IGAAP (for RBI-regulated bank reporting) and Ind AS (for parent/group consolidation). The role also owns governance and compliance of Related Party Transactions (RPTs)and provides oversight and control over Finance Shared Services, which execute operational finance activities.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Close Management:
Lead and manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial closes as per approved calendars.
Review and finalise:
Financial statements under IGAAP.
Ind AS financial information for parent/group consolidation.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of trial balances, accruals, provisions, cutoffs and reconciliations.
Review critical journal entries, estimates and judgments before finalisation.
Audit and Accounting Governance:
Act as day-to-day SPOC for Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors and Group Auditors.
Lead audit planning, PBC management, walkthroughs and closure of audit observations.
Drive the preparation of accounting position papers and technical memos.
Ensure zero repeat audit findings and continuous improvement in audit outcomes.
Related Party Transactions (RPT) Governance:
Own monitoring, governance, accounting and disclosure of RPTs.
Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, RBI guidelines, IGAAP and Ind AS.
Coordinate with Legal, Compliance and Secretarial teams for approvals and Audit Committee / Board reporting.
Shared Services Governance:
Provide governance and oversight over Finance operations executed through Shared Services, including:
ProcuretoPay (P2P).
Accounts Payable (AP).
Fixed Assets.
Operational tax processes.
Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, ageing and exception reports.
Ensure shared services outputs meet accounting, control and audit standards.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead a team.
Allocate work, review outputs and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Coach and develop team members on accounting, audit handling and reporting discipline.
Build bench strength and ensure continuity during close and audit cycles.
IPO Readiness and Controls:
Support IPO readiness initiatives, including:
Strengthening audit documentation and financial controls.
Improving the depth and consistency of financial disclosures.
Supporting restatements or carve-out financials, if required.
Drive improvements in internal financial controls (ICFR)and process standardisation.
Key Success Measures:
On time and accurate monthly and quarterly closes.
Clean statutory audits with no high-severity or repeat observations.
Strong RPT governance with zero compliance lapses.
Effective shared services oversight and SLA adherence.
A capable, well-governed financial reporting team.
Improved IPO readiness indicators.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
Strong experience in financial reporting under IGAAP and Ind AS.
Handson statutory and internal audit management.
Understanding of banking / NBFC accounting and RBI regulatory environment.
Experience in shared services governance.
Working knowledge of ERP / GL systems (SAP / Oracle or equivalent).
Leadership and Behavioural Skills:
Proven people management capability.
High ownership and execution orientation.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to manage tight timelines and multiple dependencies.
Structured, detailoriented and control-focused mindset.
Educational Qualification:
Chartered Accountant (CA)- Mandatory.
Work Experience:
7-10 yearsof postqualification experience.
Experience in Banking / NBFC / Financial Services / FinTech will be preferred.
Exposure to:
Dual reporting frameworks (IGAAP and Ind AS).
Related Party transactions governance and Internal controls over financial reporting.
Managing small to mid-sized teams.
IPO readiness or listed entity reporting (preferred).
