Job Posting: Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Analyst to join our compliance team. The successful candidate will help protect the organization from financial crime by identifying, investigating, and reporting suspicious activities while ensuring compliance with applicable AML regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Apply Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, regulations, and internal policies to detect and prevent financial crime.
- Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) procedures by verifying customer identities, understanding business activities, identifying beneficial owners, and assessing customer risk.
- Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk customers, including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), customers from high-risk jurisdictions, and high-net-worth individuals by reviewing source of funds and source of wealth.
- Screen customers and transactions against applicable sanctions lists to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor customer transactions to identify unusual or suspicious patterns that may indicate money laundering or terrorist financing.
- Investigate and escalate suspicious activities in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Identify transaction monitoring red flags, including:
- Large cash deposits inconsistent with the customer's profile.
- Frequent international wire transfers.
- Structuring transactions to avoid reporting thresholds.
- Sudden increases in account activity.
- Multiple third-party deposits.
- Rapid movement of funds into and out of accounts.
Required Knowledge
Candidates should have a strong understanding of:
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML) principles and regulatory requirements.
- The three stages of money laundering: Placement, Layering, and Integration.
- KYC, CDD, and EDD processes.
- Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Beneficial Ownership.
- Sanctions compliance and screening.
- Transaction monitoring techniques and financial crime risk indicators.
