We are looking for an experienced Stores & Inventory leader to head the Corporate Stores function for a leading EPC / Engineering organisation.
The role will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across inventory management, central and project stores, material control, reconciliation, ERP/SAP processes and inventory optimisation.
The mandate requires a professional who can move beyond traditional stores management and build a technology-enabled, data-driven and highly controlled inventory management function supporting multiple EPC projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead Corporate and Project/Site Stores operations across multiple locations
• Drive inventory planning, stock optimisation, ageing and working-capital management
• Strengthen material receipt, inspection, storage, preservation, issue, transfer and reconciliation processes
• Ensure alignment between physical inventory, SAP/ERP and financial records
• Drive SAP MM-based Stores & Inventory processes
• Partner with Procurement, Projects, Planning, Engineering, Finance and Commercial teams
• Establish robust SOPs, governance, controls and audit compliance
• Develop MIS, dashboards and analytics for inventory visibility and decision-making
• Lead digitalisation, automation and AI-enabled inventory optimisation initiatives
• Build and lead a high-performing Stores & Inventory team
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
15–20+ years of experience in Stores / Materials / Inventory Management.
Strong experience in EPC, Engineering, Infrastructure, Power, Road & Bridges, Industrial Projects or Construction environments.
Proven experience managing central as well as project/site stores.
Strong understanding of material planning, inventory control, reconciliation and project material management.
Hands-on experience with SAP MM / ERP-based inventory management.
Demonstrated ability to optimise inventory and improve working capital.
Strong process orientation with experience in digitalisation, automation and analytics.
Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
Engineering / Supply Chain / Materials Management / Operations qualification; MBA / PG qualification will be an advantage.
We are particularly interested in leaders who can transform Stores from a transactional function into a strategic, technology-enabled and data-driven supply-chain capability.
