Senior Full Stack Engineer

We are looking for an engineer who enjoys solving backend complexity, building scalable systems, and owning critical business workflows. You will work closely with the Tech Lead to rebuild, improve, and scale Akidha's backend infrastructure.
The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:
Backend Engineering:
Building the in-house infrastructure for Website / related applications for Akidha.
Design scalable APIs and backend services, build and maintain Java Spring Boot applications.
Build systems capable of handling increasing order and transaction volumes.
Ensure application reliability, scalability, and performance.
Improve existing backend architecture.
Database and Data Systems:
Design and optimise PostgreSQL schemas.
Improve database performance and query efficiency.
Build scalable data structures and workflows.
Support reporting and analytics requirements.
Integrations and Automation:
Build integrations with CRM, inventory, logistics, payment, and third-party systems and innovations for the business model.
Automate operational workflows.
Improve system interoperability and reliability.
Support implementation of event tracking and analytics pipelines.
Engineering Excellence:
Write and have the ability to prompt clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in architecture discussions.
Contribute to testing, deployment, and code review practices.
Work closely with Product and Growth teams to deliver business impact.
Has practical experience and fondles with AI / LLM Models, prompt understanding, technological advancements and recent trends.
Requirements:
6+ years of experience in backend development.
HealthTech, E-commerce, or Consumer Internet experience.
Strong Java & Spring Boot expertise.
Strong PostgreSQL knowledge
Experience building scalable APIs.
AWS experience.
Strong understanding of system design, debugging and problem-solving skills.
Tech Stack:
Backend: Java 17+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices.
Database: PostgreSQL, Query Optimisation, Schema Design, Indexing.
Cloud and Infrastructure: AWS EC2 VPC, S3 RDS, CloudWatch, CI/CD.
Integrations: Zoho Suite, Logistics APIs, Payment Gateway APIs, WhatsApp APIs.
Good to Have: Kafka / RabbitMQ, Docker, Redis, Elasticsearch, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel.
Good To Have:
Microservices architecture.
Event-driven systems.
Docker and CI/CD exposure.
