ABB Brno is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Commissioning Engineer for its High and Low Voltage Service Unit. In this role you will be responsible for testing eHouse Solutions products and commissioning them.
The work model for the role is: hybrid
This role is contributing to the ELSE division.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
Analysis and creation of configurations for protection relays, their implementation and testing of switchgear systems and assemblies
Commissioning and cooperation in putting switchgear systems and assemblies into operation
Testing of switchgear assemblies in the factory or on-site at the customer
Parameterization and configuration of control systems
Setting up and testing both horizontal and vertical communication
Testing, diagnostics, and maintenance of protection systems in operation
Preparation of reports from performed tests and activities
Service interventions on individual devices, expert consultation with customers, and customer support
Training of customers and operators
Active participation in existing and new projects
Teamwork, control, and support of other departments and colleagues
Qualifications for the Role:
Secondary or university degree in electrical engineering (power engineering, energy, automation, etc.) – suitable for graduates as well
Professional qualification according to Act 250/2021 Coll. and Government Regulation 194/2022 Coll., §6 or higher
Previous experience is an advantage, but graduates are welcome
Communicative level of English; another foreign language is an advantage
Driving license category B
Flexibility, independence, and attention to detail
Results-oriented and customer-focused mindset
Willingness to travel frequently, including longer trips
Willingness to continuously learn
