Team Lead - Last Mile Operations

Role Description The Team Lead – Last Mile Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Kanpur, responsible for overseeing day-to-day last mile delivery operations and ensuring service quality. This role includes planning and monitoring delivery routes, supervising field and hub staff, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to end customers. The team lead will track key performance metrics, manage escalations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve customer experience. Responsibilities also include optimizing resources, enforcing safety and compliance standards, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and preparing regular performance and incident reports. The role requires hands-on presence on the floor and in the field to guide teams, support continuous process improvements, and drive operational excellence in the assigned territory.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Operations Management skills, including experience in last mile logistics, process optimization, and performance tracking.
Candidates should possess solid People Management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage workforce scheduling, and foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and effective stakeholder management.
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, monitor KPIs, identify trends, and implement actionable improvements.
Candidates should possess a focus on Customer Satisfaction, with experience handling escalations, maintaining service quality, and improving customer experience.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field are preferred.
Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or courier operations, along with familiarity with routing tools, MIS/reporting, and basic MS Office, will be beneficial.
Ability to work flexible hours as per operational requirements and strong problem-solving skills are advantageous.
