Senior Data Engineer

The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise data and analytics solutions across functions. This role is responsible for developing scalable Azure-based data platforms, integrating enterprise applications, enabling business reporting, and driving data modernisation initiatives. The successful candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with solution architecture leadership and partner closely with business stakeholders to deliver trusted, scalable, and business-critical analytics solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain enterprise data platforms using Azure technologies.
Develop and optimise Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, Databricks workloads, and cloud data integrations.
Establish scalable data models and integration patterns.
Drive data quality, governance, security, and operational excellence.
Lead architecture reviews and technical solution design activities.
Ensure data accuracy, lineage, and governance.
Build and support reporting datasets and dashboards.
Enable integration strategies for Salesforce, SAP and Workday
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics, or Business Intelligence.
3+ years of experience with Azure cloud data technologies.
Proven experience leading enterprise-scale integration projects.
Strong experience working with multiple business functions including HR, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Commercial teams.
Experience managing solution lifecycle from requirements gathering through production support.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Experience leading technical discussions with architects, engineers, and business leaders.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to balance strategic architecture responsibilities with hands-on execution.
