Role Description This full-time, on-site Sales Executive role is based in Delhi / Gurgaon, India, at HDFC Bank. The Sales Executive is responsible for identifying and engaging potential customers, explaining banking products and services, and driving sales of retail products such as accounts, loans, credit cards, and other financial solutions. Daily activities include generating leads, conducting customer meetings, managing follow-ups, and ensuring accurate documentation and onboarding processes in line with bank policies. The role also involves maintaining strong customer relationships, providing service support, and collaborating with branch and regional teams to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction. The Sales Executive is expected to uphold regulatory and compliance standards and represent HDFC Bank’s values in every customer interaction.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development abilities, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals in banking or financial services.
Customer relationship management skills, with the capacity to understand customer needs and recommend suitable financial products.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English and local languages, and the ability to explain complex products clearly.
Basic financial and banking knowledge, including understanding of retail products, documentation, KYC requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Ability to work in a target-driven environment, with strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
Comfort with digital tools and banking systems, including CRM platforms, mobile and online banking applications, and MS Office.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; prior experience in sales or retail banking is an advantage.
High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and commitment to customer confidentiality and data security.
