You'll build innovative seller tools and services that power global e-commerce at an unprecedented scale, working on problems that directly impact how products reach customers across continents.
About The Team
We're a distributed team committed to reshaping cross-border commerce for millions of Amazon customers worldwide. Our vision is to make international shopping as simple as local shopping—with solutions that work in customers' preferred languages, payment methods, and currencies. We partner closely with business teams, sellers, and customers to understand what's needed and deliver solutions that drive growth. You'll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business strategists who are passionate about solving complex problems and creating experiences that work seamlessly across borders. Key job responsibilities
Design and develop scalable software solutions and services that enable sellers to operate effectively across multiple countries and markets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, business, and operations to understand seller needs and translate them into technical implementations
Build tools and systems that simplify complex processes like customs handling, logistics coordination, and multi-currency transactions
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning to ensure solutions are robust, maintainable, and aligned with our platform's standards
Iterate and improve existing systems based on seller feedback, performance metrics, and evolving business requirements
A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer on the Cross Border Seller Experience team, you'll focus on building unified seller tools and services that simplify how products are made available, sold, and distributed globally. Your day might include designing new features that help sellers navigate customs and logistics, collaborating with product and business teams to understand seller pain points, writing and reviewing code that powers our platform, and iterating on solutions based on seller feedback. You'll work across multiple systems and geographies, tackling the technical challenges that come with operating at global scale while maintaining the flexibility to adapt as we expand into new markets.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
