Primary Responsibilities:
Incharge – Site Engineering (OMS)
Department: OMS – Engineering
Role Type: Site Operations
Reporting to: State / Regional Engineering Head
Role Purpose
To oversee and manage engineering activities at site locations under OMS, ensuring safe, timely, and quality execution of maintenance, breakdown, and improvement works for wind turbine assets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all site engineering activities including preventive maintenance, breakdown support, and minor upgrades.
Ensure adherence to OMS engineering standards, safety guidelines, and SOPs.
Coordinate with O&M teams, SCM, contractors, and OEMs for smooth site operations.
Monitor equipment performance, analyze failures, and drive root‑cause corrective actions.
Review and validate technical reports, job cards, and compliance documents.
Support site readiness, audits, and inspections (internal & external).
Manage manpower allocation and contractor productivity at site.
Ensure quality workmanship and timely closure of engineering issues.
Track material availability and coordinate spares planning with SCM.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve turbine uptime and reliability.
Education & Experience
Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics).
8–12 years of experience in site engineering, preferably in Wind / Renewable Energy O&M.
Hands‑on experience in OMS site operations is preferred.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of wind turbine systems and site engineering practices.
Problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
Team handling and contractor management skills.
Working knowledge of EHS standards and statutory compliance.
Good coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
