Software Engineer (SDET)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong software development expertise to join our API Platform Engineering team. The ideal candidate will independently design, develop, validate, and deliver scalable, cloud-native services and APIs while championing engineering and quality excellence across the organization.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product Management, Architecture, Quality Engineering, and cross-functional engineering teams to influence technical direction and ensure the delivery of secure, reliable, thoroughly tested, and customer-centric solutions. You will play a key role in driving automation, enhancing product quality, and promoting best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Job Requirements
4-7 years of software development experience.
Strong programming skills in Node.js and Python with experience building production-quality software.
Hands-on experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs and GraphQL APIs.
Experience building cloud-native applications using AWS.
Good understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Strong knowledge of software design principles, scalability, performance optimization, reliability, and testing practices.
Hands-on experience in QA automation and test framework development using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end delivery of features, from design and development to testing, deployment, and production support.
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Python.
Build and maintain automated test frameworks for REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, backend services, and cloud-native applications.
Develop automated functional, integration, regression, contract, and end-to-end tests.
Design and enhance RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and customer-facing applications.
Drive engineering best practices, code quality, reliability, performance, and security.
Define test strategies, quality standards, coverage requirements, and release readiness criteria.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve test execution efficiency and reporting.
Build, deploy, and support cloud-native applications on AWS.
Troubleshoot production and customer-reported issues and implement long-term fixes.
Perform root cause analysis for test failures and defects and strengthen automation coverage.
Contribute to CI/CD, observability, operational readiness, and production support activities.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
