Role Description The Team Lead role at Delhivery in Kanpur is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations at the facility or hub. The Team Lead coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, monitors performance metrics, and ensures adherence to service-level agreements, safety standards, and quality guidelines. This role includes supervising a team of operations associates, assigning tasks, managing shift schedules, and resolving operational issues in real time. The Team Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams such as linehaul, last-mile delivery, and customer support to maintain efficient workflows and timely deliveries. The position also involves reporting on operational performance, implementing process improvements, and supporting training and development of team members.
Qualifications
Operational management skills, including experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations, and familiarity with hub or center management.
Team leadership capabilities, such as supervising staff, managing shifts, delegating tasks, and mentoring team members to achieve performance targets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for monitoring KPIs, handling exceptions, and implementing process improvements.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal teams, frontline staff, and stakeholders.
Comfort with technology and data tools, including basic MS Excel, dashboards, and operations management systems.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on punctuality, discipline, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Previous experience in logistics, e-commerce, or transportation operations is preferred.
Graduate degree in any discipline; a specialization in operations, supply chain, or business management will be an advantage.
