What you will do:
The Senior HR Generalist serves as a trusted Human Resources partner to plant leadership and employees, providing both strategic and hands-on HR support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for the local delivery and execution of core HR programs and services while ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws and operational objectives. The Senior HR Generalist will partner closely with leaders and employees to drive employee engagement, talent development, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations and organizational effectiveness.
How you will do it:
• Partner with plant leadership to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development and workforce planning.
• Lead employee relations investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions while ensuring consistent application of company policies and practices.
• Coach and support managers regarding performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, employee development and leadership effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, company policies and HR procedures.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends, engagement data and employee feedback to identify opportunities for retention and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate, complete and confidential employee records and HRIS data.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary HR contact for employee questions, concerns and policy interpretation.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, succession planning and talent development initiatives.
• Facilitate employee communications, training programs and HR initiatives that support business objectives.
• Partner with Payroll, Operations and Environmental Health & Safety teams to support employee experience, compliance and operational excellence.
• Monitor workforce metrics and provide recommendations to leadership that improve employee engagement and organizational performance.
• Assist with payroll, timekeeping, leave administration and other HR operational activities as needed.
What we look for:
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, distribution or operations environments.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing sensitive employee matters.
• Experience utilizing an HRIS system and maintaining confidential employee information.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching and influencing skills.
• Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Professional HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
• Experience with Workday, UKG, Kronos and/or ADP.
• Multi-shift manufacturing or plant HR experience.
• Payroll and timekeeping experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience leading employee engagement, retention and change management initiatives.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,000-$90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
