Role Description The Territory Manager role at Cipla in Howrah is an on-site position responsible for driving sales and market growth within an assigned territory. The Territory Manager will regularly visit healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and institutions to promote Cipla’s products, provide product information, and strengthen long-term relationships. This role involves planning and executing territory-wise sales strategies, monitoring performance against targets, and identifying new business opportunities. The Territory Manager will also gather market intelligence, ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards, and coordinate with internal teams for timely supply, promotional activities, and customer support. Accurate reporting, documentation of field activities, and participation in medical events, training sessions, and product launches are key parts of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in pharmaceutical sales, territory management, and customer relationship building.
Ability to develop and execute local sales plans, analyze territory performance, and identify growth opportunities.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to explain clinical and product information clearly to healthcare professionals.
Solid organizational and time-management skills to plan field visits, manage multiple accounts, and maintain accurate records.
Comfort with using digital tools and reporting systems for sales tracking, communication, and market analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field; relevant pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience is highly beneficial.
Knowledge of the local healthcare market in and around Howrah, and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
