Job Purpose:
To support R&D projects through Design, development, integration, validation, and testing of electronic and electrical systems, ensuring high reliability and compliance with aerospace and Defense standards. The role demands hands-on expertise in PCB designing, testing, system integration, and the use of advanced test equipment
Principal Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, integration, and validation of electronic systems, PCBs, and embedded hardware solutions from concept through product realization.
Drive hardware architecture, schematic reviews, component selection, PCB design support, and design-for-testability (DFT) improvements to enhance product performance and reliability.
Plan and oversee PCB testing, hardware validation, system integration, and verification activities, ensuring compliance with technical and quality requirements.
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex hardware, firmware, and system-level issues involving microcontrollers, sensors, communication interfaces, and embedded platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electronics design, embedded firmware, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and quality to accelerate product development and successful product releases.
Review and validate design documentation, schematics, test plans, and engineering deliverables while ensuring adherence to engineering best practices and industry standards.
Drive continuous improvement in product design, test methodologies, automation, reliability, and engineering processes.
Mentor and lead a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, project planning, and execution support to deliver high-quality R&D outcomes.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Mandatory Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 5-10 years in PCB Design & Development, testing, system integration, or relevant field.
PCB and subsystem testing (visual, impedance, power, signal).
Test equipment operation (oscilloscope, function generator, spectrum analyzer, etc.).
Protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, RS232, RS422.
Microcontrollers, ICs, and sensors.
Exposure to Linux/Ubuntu is desirable.
