Professional Services Consultant - Malaysia

As a Professional Services Consultant, you will:
Carry out Professional Services engagements in a professional & timely manner for Fortinet customers & deliver projects with customer satisfaction in mind.
Develops a clear overall understanding of the customer requirements (project scope, technical requirements and solution design)
Conduct design workshops with customers and stakeholders both remotely as well as onsite.
Lead the deployment, migration and optimization of Fortinet solutions in Customer environments.
Execute project tasks in accordance with project timelines and quality standards.
Act as a trusted advisor during project delivery and provide technical consultation to customers.
Continuously developing knowledge and skills to remain proficient with Fortinet technologies to provide best practice advice during project delivery
Maintain expert-level technical knowledge in the following technology disciplines as they relate to Fortinet’s products:
Network Security Infrastructure – Switching, Routing, SD-WAN, Proxies
Firewalls, UTM, APT (Sandboxing), Application Control & Content Filtering,
Web Proxying, SLB, Cryptology
VPN technologies (SSL VPN/IPSEC VPN) & associated topologies
Web Application Firewalling
Interface with Fortinet’s Business and Technology partners within designated technology discipline and distribute that knowledge internally within Fortinet.
Develop and update implementation best practices, templates and reusable technical assets.
Effectively communicates relevant project information to Fortinet management as appropriate
Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
Completes and submits any required administrative tasks in a timely manner
(timesheets, activities report, project reports, etc…).
Followings up with customer and internal Fortinet departments to ensure project documentation is completed:
Creation of Statement of Work document
Acknowledgement of work performed including work complete signing
Knowledge Transfer
Customer satisfaction surveys
We Are Looking For:
An insightful and influential collaborator to join our team. We encourage you to apply for this position if you have the following qualities:
8 - 10 years + relevant network security experience, It would be advantageous if the experience was with a network security vendor.
5+ Years’ experience in LAN/WAN /Internet Support or Administration
3+ Years’ experience with Network Security Products
Customer centric mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Teamwork and cross functional collaboration with regional team members.
Problem solving and critical thinking.
Ability to work well under pressure and remain focused on the tasks in hand.
Ability to troubleshoot complex network & security environment
Strong knowledge of the security threat landscape
Previous Technical support position (other PS or TAC position), or Sales Engineering
background advantageous
Network security certifications (Fortinet NSE 4 minimum and above)
External network security & vendor certifications such as Cisco, F5, Juniper, Checkpoint, AWS area are a plus
Strong understanding of core Internet protocols and applications (TCP/IP & networking skills)
Strong general knowledge of common networking (switching & routing) and security protocols
Scripting experience (Python) & experience of API (Restful API)
Ability to work according to customer’s schedules which may include weekends/evenings/holidays
MS office suite using applications such as Power Point, Word, Visio & Project.
Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in EE, CS, or CE or equivalent experience.
