Job Description
Team Summary:
Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts around the world using push payment technology, i.e. Original Credit Transaction (OCT). Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g. payments to landscaper), funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements), bill payment, cross-border remittance and more
The Senior Manager, Ecosystem Development will support regional ecosystem enablement and expansion for Visa Direct, with a strong focus on issuer optimization, ecosystem readiness, and the execution of key strategic ecosystem projects across Asia Pacific.
This role will be responsible for improving issuer and partner performance, enhancing acceptance quality, supporting operational scalability, and driving cross-functional initiatives that strengthen the Visa Direct ecosystem across domestic and cross-border use cases.
The Senior Manager will work closely with issuers, partners, and internal stakeholders to identify performance opportunities, resolve ecosystem friction points, and support priority initiatives related to market expansion, corridor activation, compliance, reporting, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Support execution of the regional Visa Direct ecosystem strategy across issuers, acquirers, enablers, processors, and partners.
Lead and support issuer optimization initiatives aimed at improving authorization performance, approval rates, acceptance quality, data integrity, fraud outcomes, operational reliability, and overall issuer readiness.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enable market expansion, cross-border corridor activation, and readiness for priority Visa Direct use cases.
Manage issuer and partner readiness across the Visa Direct portfolio, including onboarding, activation, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and ongoing ecosystem health.
Drive execution of key ecosystem projects, including initiatives related to issuer enablement, ecosystem scalability, acceptance improvement, operational efficiency, compliance readiness, and new capability deployment.
Serve as a subject matter expert on technical, operational, product, and compliance requirements for issuers, clients, and ecosystem partners.
Support ecosystem readiness in line with Visa rules, product requirements, network standards, regulatory expectations, and internal governance requirements.
Assess the impact of policy, rule, product, and regulatory changes, and coordinate implementation of scalable, compliant solutions across relevant ecosystem participants.
Monitor ecosystem performance, including approval rates, decline trends, fraud and risk metrics, data integrity, transaction quality, and operational health.
Identify issuer-specific and ecosystem-wide performance gaps, develop action plans, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive measurable improvements.
Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to improve execution, acceptance quality, efficiency, scalability, and partner experience.
Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and KPIs to track issuer performance, ecosystem readiness, optimization progress, compliance status, and business outcomes.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Client Services, Licensing, Commercialization, and regional market teams to support high-quality execution of ecosystem priorities.
Support governance routines, business reviews, and executive updates related to issuer optimization, ecosystem performance, and strategic project delivery.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
At least 10 years of experience in payment services product management, solution development and/or development or process consulting environment
Deep expertise in the payments industry, digital money movement, and ecosystem-based payment models.
Strong understanding of issuer processing, card-based flows, push-to-wallet flows, push-to-account flows, and domestic and cross-border money movement use cases.
Knowledge of issuer performance drivers, including approval rates, decline management, fraud and risk controls, transaction data quality, operational readiness, and scheme/network requirements.
Demonstrated experience supporting or leading issuer optimization, ecosystem enablement, performance improvement, or payment acceptance initiatives.
Experience contributing to strategic ecosystem projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Familiarity with payment schemes, regulatory expectations, compliance requirements, AML considerations, and risk management practices.
Experience working with Legal, Compliance, Risk, AML, Product, Technology, Client Services, and Commercialization teams.
Proven ability to drive process improvements, performance optimization, reporting, and scalable execution in complex environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate complex technical, operational, and compliance topics into clear recommendations, action plans, and executive-level updates.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a global, matrixed organization
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and influencing skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships
