Job Title
Manager - Human Resources
Job Description
The HR Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end Human Resources operations for the plant, including talent acquisition, employee relations, industrial relations, payroll inputs, statutory compliance, employee lifecycle management, performance management, contract labour administration. The role will partner closely with business leaders, employees, unions, contractors, and external authorities to ensure compliance, operational excellence, and a positive employee experience while supporting organizational objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
Build and maintain positive employee relations across the plant.
Address employee grievances and ensure timely resolution.
Foster healthy relationships with unions and employee representatives to maintain industrial harmony.
Support disciplinary processes, grievance redressal, and employee engagement initiatives.
Statutory Compliance & Labour Law Management
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
Manage compliance related to PF, ESIC, PT, Bonus, CLRA, Factories Act, and other applicable labour legislations.
Prepare and submit statutory returns, reports, and documentation within prescribed timelines.
Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance closure.
Contract Labour & Vendor Compliance
Manage contract labour administration and compliance monitoring.
Verify vendor compliance documents and statutory records.
Ensure adherence to statutory and company compliance requirements for contractors and service providers.
Payroll & HR Operations
Ensure accurate and timely payroll inputs, including attendance, leave records, incentives, and deductions.
Support payroll processing and Full & Final Settlement (F&F) activities.
Manage employee confirmations, transfers, promotions, separations, and exit formalities.
Conduct exit interviews and derive actionable insights.
Performance Management
Drive Performance Management System (PMS) processes across the plant.
Support goal setting, performance reviews, appraisal cycles, and performance discussions.
Partner with functional leaders to drive a performance-oriented culture.
Other Responsibilities
Support Talent Acquisition and any other responsibilities assigned by the HOD or Management.
EXPERIENCE (No of Years): 6 - 10 years in HR
QUALIFICATION: Master’s degree in Human Resources / Employee Relations
Skills And Competencies
Strong knowledge of Employee Relations (ER), Industrial Relations (IR), and labour law compliances.
Ability to build positive employee and union relationships while maintaining industrial harmony.
Strong grievance handling, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Process-oriented approach with strong attention to detail and documentation management.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Basic Formulas, and HR MIS reporting).
