Role Description The Portfolio Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Shajapur, responsible for managing and optimizing client investment portfolios in line with Axis Bank’s risk and return framework. The role involves analyzing market trends, evaluating investment opportunities, and rebalancing portfolios to meet clients’ financial goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring portfolio performance, executing trades within approved limits, and preparing periodic reports and insights for clients and internal stakeholders. The Portfolio Manager will collaborate with relationship managers and product teams to design suitable investment strategies, ensure regulatory and internal compliance, and maintain high standards of client service. The role also includes regular review meetings with clients to understand their objectives, address queries, and recommend appropriate adjustments to their portfolios.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, assess risk-return profiles, and support investment decisions.
Candidates should possess Finance and Investments expertise, including knowledge of financial instruments, capital markets, asset allocation, and risk management.
Candidates should possess Portfolio Management capabilities, such as constructing, monitoring, and rebalancing portfolios aligned with client objectives and bank policies.
Candidates should possess Trading skills to execute buy/sell orders efficiently, adhere to compliance requirements, and optimize transaction costs.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP, NISM) are an advantage.
Proficiency in financial modeling, MS Excel, and portfolio management or trading platforms, along with strong numerical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to explain investment concepts clearly and build long-term client relationships.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven banking environment.
