Role Description The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Gabriel India Limited’s facility in Kumarapalayam. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining EHS policies, procedures, and programs that comply with local regulations and company standards. Day-to-day activities include identifying workplace hazards, conducting risk assessments, leading accident and incident investigations, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively. The EHS Manager will conduct regular safety audits and inspections, oversee occupational health initiatives, and coordinate training programs to build safety awareness and compliance across the site. The role also involves collaborating with operations, maintenance, HR, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance, environmental stewardship, and health outcomes for all team members.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health skills, with the ability to design and implement robust EHS management systems.
Candidates should possess expertise in Accident Investigation and incident analysis, including root cause identification and implementation of preventive measures.
Candidates should possess skills in Training, safety coaching, and awareness-building to effectively communicate EHS standards and influence safe behaviors.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related field; recognized EHS certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001/14001 lead auditor) are preferred.
Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments, knowledge of Indian EHS regulations and environmental compliance, strong analytical and reporting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
