A research position at Microsoft Research India offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of Computer Science research and technology development, and work with world class colleagues on meaningful research problems. We are looking for exceptional researchers with a demonstrated track record in AI Systems, with expertise in topics such as CUDA/GPU programming and optimization, Model serving and inference engine optimization, storage systems and KV cache management, high-performance networking and scheduling.
Responsibilities
We are looking for researchers with strong scientific and analytical skills.
The candidate should be comfortable dealing with open research problems, new ideas, and evolving directions, and should play different roles in the research effort as needed.
The candidate will work closely with other researchers, engineers, product teams, and internal/external partners, and take ownership of driving research toward impactful publications and influencing industry trends.
This also provides a great opportunity to receive mentoring as well as to mentor and lead interns and other team members.

Qualifications

Required
Ph.D. in Computer Science or related disciplines.
Strong programming and communication skills, and ability to drive end-to-end research and development—from ideation to deployment.
Ability to effectively work in highly collaborative environments.
