Inviting candidate for Manager/Senior Manager - SAP Fieldglass SOW Management
Role Summary
The Program Director, SAP Fieldglass SOW Management, is responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance, and operational oversight for enterprise-wide Statement of Work (SOW) programs managed through SAP Fieldglass. The role drives end-to-end SOW lifecycle management including SOW drafting support, approvals, milestone governance, invoice management, supplier performance, compliance, spend optimization, and process transformation.
The position serves as the senior escalation point for complex SOW engagements and partners closely with Procurement, Business Stakeholders, Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, MSPs, and Suppliers to ensure delivery excellence, risk mitigation, financial control, and compliance across all services procurement engagements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Program Leadership
Define and execute the strategic roadmap for SAP Fieldglass Services Procurement and SOW Management programs.
Establish governance frameworks, operating models, and best practices for SOW lifecycle management.
Partner with executive leadership to align workforce and services procurement strategies with business objectives.
Drive program maturity, operational excellence, automation, and transformation initiatives.
Lead governance councils, executive reviews, and stakeholder forums.
2. SOW Governance & Lifecycle Management
Oversee end-to-end SOW lifecycle management including creation, drafting support, approvals, amendments, renewals, extensions, change orders, and closures.
Ensure SOWs clearly define scope, deliverables, milestones, timelines, acceptance criteria, resources, and commercial terms.
Establish governance standards, approval controls, and documentation requirements.
Ensure alignment of SOWs with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and enterprise standards.
Review and approve complex, high-value, or high-risk SOW engagements.
3. SOW Drafting & Commercial Oversight
Provide executive oversight and guidance for Statement of Work development and review.
Establish standards and templates for SOW drafting and change management.
Partner with Legal and Procurement teams to ensure alignment with Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
Validate commercial structures, funding models, milestone schedules, and pricing methodologies.
Drive consistency and quality across all SOW documentation and governance processes.
4. Milestone Management & Delivery Governance
Establish enterprise-wide governance standards for milestone-based engagements.
Ensure milestones are measurable, outcome-driven, and aligned with contractual deliverables.
Oversee milestone planning, tracking, validation, approval, and closure activities.
Monitor milestone achievement against committed timelines, budgets, and project objectives.
Implement controls ensuring milestone payments occur only upon successful deliverable validation.
Identify and mitigate milestone delivery risks and execution challenges.
Drive accountability among business stakeholders, suppliers, and program teams.
Develop executive dashboards for milestone tracking and performance reporting.
Govern milestone adherence, completion rates, and value realization.
5. Invoice Governance & Resolution Management
Establish governance for invoice review, approval, dispute management, and payment controls.
Oversee invoice validation against approved SOWs, milestones, budgets, and contractual terms.
Monitor invoice aging, payment cycle performance, and supplier payment experience.
Partner with Finance and Accounts Payable teams to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Lead resolution of high-impact invoice disputes, billing discrepancies, and payment escalations.
Implement controls to prevent duplicate payments, overbilling, and budget overruns.
6. Supplier Performance & Stakeholder Management
Build strong strategic relationships with business leaders, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Suppliers.
Conduct supplier governance and operational performance reviews.
Drive service excellence, supplier accountability, and contract compliance.
Serve as the executive escalation point for operational, contractual, and delivery issues.
Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations and industry best practices.
7. Financial Management & Spend Optimization
Own governance of services spend managed through SAP Fieldglass.
Monitor budgets, forecasts, funding utilization, accruals, and financial performance.
Drive cost optimization and efficiency initiatives across SOW engagements.
Develop executive reporting on spend visibility, savings opportunities, and financial risks.
Ensure budget controls are maintained throughout the SOW lifecycle.
8. Compliance, Risk & Audit Management
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
Establish risk management frameworks for SOW engagements.
Lead audit readiness and support internal and external audits.
Monitor contractual, operational, financial, and compliance risks.
Drive corrective and preventive action plans for identified gaps.
9. Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Develop executive scorecards, dashboards, and KPI reporting.
Monitor program performance across milestones, invoices, spend, supplier performance, and compliance.
Identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
Sponsor automation, AI, workflow optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.
Champion best practices in Services Procurement and SAP Fieldglass operations.
Leadership Responsibilities
Lead global teams supporting SAP Fieldglass SOW operations and governance.
Develop talent strategies, succession plans, and capability-building initiatives.
Mentor managers, team leads, and subject matter experts.
Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Drive organizational change management and stakeholder adoption of new processes.

Minimum 8+ years of SAP Fieldglass Services Procurement and SOW Management experience.
Proven experience managing complex SOW portfolios, milestone-based engagements, invoice governance, and spend management programs.
