Quality Engineer — Warehouse Edge
Remote | MEXICO
We are looking for a talented and motivated Quality Engineer to join our Warehouse Edge team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of the K.Motion Warehouse Edge platform — a comprehensive multi-tenant warehouse management system with 30+ licensed modules. You will design, develop, and maintain test plans, regression suites, and automation frameworks covering end-to-end warehouse workflows from receiving through shipping. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSoftware Development Excellence
Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression test suites covering 30+ licensed WMS modules
Design and execute end-to-end workflow tests (receiving → putaway → allocation → wave → picking → packing → shipping)
Validate REST/OData APIs against 784K+ lines of generated controllers
Develop a thorough understanding of the product architecture and multi-tenant model within 6 months
Deliver in line with project committed metrics on Velocity, Quality, and Accuracy
Technical Direction
Achieve comfort with all aspects of Warehouse Edge testing within 6 to 12 months
Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in testing approaches
Design regression strategies for complex multi-module warehouse systems with interdependencies
Identify gaps and propose enhancements in the test automation process and/or architecture
Process Improvement
Share ideas for process, workflow, and continuous improvement initiatives
Understand and follow all team processes while actively suggesting improvements
Apply risk-based testing and prioritization to maximize coverage across 30+ modules
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders across the organization including developers, support, and PSG
Communicate clearly to understand requirements and align test coverage with organizational goals
Produce high-quality test documentation, defect reports, and concise written communications
Document test plans clearly, write precise repro steps, perform root cause analysis
QUALIFICATIONSRequired
3-5 years of experience in software quality engineering or test automation
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
2+ years of experience in an Agile development environment
Proven ability to independently design test strategies and regression plans for complex multi-module systems
Experience mentoring or guiding more junior team members
Demonstrated ability to articulate technical problems, root causes, and corresponding solutions
Strong analytical and investigative skills for root cause analysis
English
Preferred
3+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management domains
Experience testing multi-tenant enterprise applications with complex module interdependencies
TECHNICAL SKILLSRequired
C# and .NET Framework 4.8 — for writing automated tests and understanding the system under test
MSSQL — writing complex queries to validate multi-tenant data, setting up test data across 298 initialization scripts, verifying warehouse operations
REST/OData API testing — request/response validation against generated controllers
Test management tools — Azure DevOps Test Plans or similar
Test plan creation — designing comprehensive test cases and regression suites
End-to-end WMS workflow testing — receiving → putaway → allocation → wave → picking → packing → shipping
Multi-tenant application testing — tenant isolation, data integrity, configuration variations across client databases
Azure DevOps and Git — branching, PRs, build pipelines
Risk-based testing and test prioritization

Warehouse Management System business processes (receiving, picking, shipping, inventory, cycle counting, replenishment, wave planning, putaway, kitting, returns/RMA, zone management)
Mobile/handheld RF device interface testing (TypeScript PWA on warehouse scanners)
Automated API testing frameworks (Postman/Newman, RestSharp, xUnit, NUnit)
WCF service testing (SOAP-based operations)
Load/performance testing for high-volume warehouse operations
Barcode/label printing workflow testing (BarTender Enterprise, 998+ printers)
Database testing (stored procedures, computed columns, scalar functions, data migration scripts)
Modular licensing and feature toggling scenarios (IsCollect(), isModuleEnabled())
Testing generated code systems (validating MTG-driven BusinessLogic, OData, and DataSources output)
xbase++ or legacy script validation (PICK.PRG, RECEIVE.PRG, SHIPPING.PRG workflows)
Warehouse automation interface testing (carousel, conveyor, diverter control)
Test data management strategies for multi-tenant environments with database-per-tenant isolation
CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution
NHibernate ORM behavior and testing data access layer patterns
SSRS report validation
Voice picking (VoiceLink) and smart cart workflow testing
Swagger/OpenAPI for generating test coverage against 784K+ lines of OData API contracts
Use of AI prompts for test case generation and defect analysis
