The Opportunity
As Service Team Leader, you'll be responsible for driving service excellence, supporting your team, and ensuring customers receive exceptional outcomes. You'll combine technical expertise, people leadership, and operational oversight to deliver safe, efficient, and profitable service operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Chiller Technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors
Drive operational excellence across maintenance, repair, retrofit, and service activities
Provide senior-level technical expertise on YORK Chillers and related HVAC systems
Perform and oversee commissioning, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance
Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery
Support service project planning, scheduling, estimating, and resource allocation
Manage customer accounts and contribute to business growth initiatives
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and industry standards
Partner with the Service Team Manager to support branch performance and operational goals
About You
You're a technically strong HVAC professional who enjoys leading from the front. You take pride in developing people, building customer relationships, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Trade qualification in HVAC/Refrigeration or equivalent industry experience
Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience (or 7 years without formal qualification)
Strong experience working on centrifugal, screw, or large commercial chillers
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory capability
Commercial awareness and sound business acumen
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
A commitment to safety, quality, and customer service excellence
