Salesforce Engineer

At ING, you'll help deliver innovative solutions across multiple Salesforce platforms while working alongside passionate engineers, architects, and product teams in an Agile environment. Role Summary
As a Salesforce Engineer you will design, develop, test, and enhance solutions across our Salesforce ecosystem. You'll work closely with architects, product owners, and fellow engineers to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and high-quality technical solutions.
This role offers a balanced mix of new feature development, platform enhancements, integration delivery, and post-release support. You'll also contribute to improving engineering standards, driving technical excellence, and helping the team deliver value through Agile ways of working.
Success in this role comes from your ability to build robust integrations, improve platform performance, support Agile delivery, and champion development best practices while maintaining a customer-focused mindset.
About the Team
You'll be part of a cross-border team operating different regions. The tribe is responsible for delivering and maintaining systems and processes that support employee and customer journeys across assisted channels, while shaping the strategic roadmap for Salesforce and other key platforms.
Our teams work collaboratively across disciplines and locations, combining business expertise with technical excellence to build solutions that make a real difference.
Required Skills
Technical Experience
3+ years of Salesforce development experience
Strong proficiency in Apex, SOQL, and JavaScript
Experience developing solutions on Salesforce Lightning Platform
Knowledge of Salesforce APIs, Governor Limits, and platform best practices
Experience with enterprise integrations, including RESTful services, SOA, and ETL solutions
Understanding of source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices
Experience working with Git
Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Maven, or Ant
Understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit, functional, and user acceptance testing
Salesforce certifications are welcomed but not required
