Your role and responsibilities
This role is contributing to the Automation Business Area, Measurement and Analytical Division, Sales in Egypt, North & Central of Africa. You will be mainly accountable for:
Achieving both qualitative and quantitative sales targets ensuring sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction
Managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order placement “Technically and Commercially”
Managing the mix of orders to ensure that assigned sectors and relevant Product Groups/portfolios are adequately covered, including service growth and indirect sales channels business
Reporting & maintaining the sales forecast and sales pipeline updated with CRM tools (Salesforce)
Managing customer sales relations through the entire lifecycle of their business model “Technically and Commercially”
Conducting regular customer visits and maintaining strong engagement
Expanding business network with EPC contractors, OEM partners, and solution builders
Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt sales strategy
Managing sales channels & channel partner management and developing business plans with channel partners
Developing new channels to assigned markets
Ensuring compliance to sales guidelines & sales policies across sales cycle using relevant ABB sales tools: Salesforce, Table of Authority, Third Party Management Tools, Risk Reviews & bid screening tools, Export Trade Compliance, etc.
Ensuring compliance to HSE & Integrity Guidelines
Covering mainly North and Central Africa
Available to Travel to African countries more than 50% of his sales time for customer visits and events.
Qualifications for the role:
Possess an Engineering bachelor's degree (5 years) in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Communication, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Automation Engineering, or a related Engineering field
Possess 5+ years of experience in Field Instrumentation (mainly EMF, PT, TT, and Level), Process Analytics (mainly continuous gas analysis, Gas Chromatography, and FTIR Solutions), Industrial Process Application, and Export Business knowledge
You are at ease communicating in English and Arabic; French is a strong plus for the North and Central Africa region
Ability to use MS-Office Package including SharePoint and MS Teams
Ability to work with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP and CRM tools such as Salesforce
You are strong in sales, communication, and presentation skills
You are skilled in analytical thinking and problem solving
You are commercially aware with strong negotiation skills
Ability to plan, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
You are adaptable, culturally aware, and mobile
