Role Description The Deputy Manager – Premier Acquisition Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kanayannur, focused on acquiring and growing relationships with premier banking customers. The role involves identifying and engaging high-net-worth and priority clients, explaining Kotak Mahindra Bank’s product suite, and guiding prospects through onboarding and account opening processes. The Deputy Manager will manage a portfolio of premier customers, ensure high service standards, cross-sell relevant banking and investment products, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve client queries promptly. Responsibilities also include tracking sales targets, preparing reports on acquisition and revenue performance, conducting market and competitor analysis, and adhering to regulatory and internal compliance guidelines. The position requires regular client meetings, field visits, and collaboration with branch and product teams to drive sustainable portfolio growth.
Qualifications
Proven skills in customer acquisition, relationship management, and portfolio handling within banking or financial services.
Strong sales, negotiation, and cross-selling abilities, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and target-based goals.
Good knowledge of retail banking products and services, such as savings and current accounts, loans, cards, and investment/wealth solutions.
Competence in communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for engaging premier clients and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work with data and reports, including basic MS Excel and CRM or banking systems, to track performance and plan activities.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to retail and premier banking operations.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or MBA is an advantage.
Prior experience in branch banking, wealth management, or priority banking portfolios will be highly beneficial.
