Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer

Join our Akamai Guardicore Data and AI Platform Team!
You will work within a dedicated elite team managing and building a cloud-native DevOps platform that drives analytics, insights, and AI-driven features for Akamai Guardicore Segmentation. By building highly reliable and cost-effective infrastructure solutions, you will help process extensive security data, empowering our customers to understand their environments, minimize risks, and prevent threat proliferation.
Partner with the best
As a key member of our team, you will partner with Site Reliability Engineers, Data Scientists, and Security Engineers to build modern solutions to global security challenges.
You will be responsible for:
Platform Design: Designing, operating, and scaling highly available, secure Kubernetes platforms
GitOps: Building and improving GitOps-based deployment processes using Argo CD, Helm, and related technologies
Infrastructure as Code: Developing reusable cloud infrastructure and automation frameworks utilizing Terraform
Developer Experience: Enhancing CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, and self-service platform capabilities
System Optimization: Improving overall platform reliability, observability, security, performance, and cost efficiency
Production Leadership: Leading complex production investigations and driving long-term architectural improvements

To be successful in this role you will:
Demonstrate expertise in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or cloud infrastructure with proven ability to optimize and manage systems effectively.
Demonstrate extensive production expertise with Kubernetes
Have experience with GitOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Have experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
Have scripting or programming experience using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages
Demonstrate technical leadership, ownership, and the ability to drive cross-team initiatives
