CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations Support
Provide administrative and coordination support to Operations leadership and supervisors as business needs require.
Assist with maintaining operational employee records, staffing information, schedules, qualification records, and department documentation.
Support supervisors with completion, collection, and organization of required employee documentation and forms.
Maintain and update department trackers, organizational information, employee lists, and other operational resources.
Assist with preparing meeting materials, communications, presentations, and basic reports for Operations.
Support coordination of employee meetings, training sessions, department activities, and site events.
Help Operations maintain organized and standardized administrative processes across departments and shifts.
Assist with communication and coordination between HR, Operations, Safety, Continuous Improvement, Quality, and other site functions.
Provide administrative support for special projects and site initiatives as assigned.
Employee Engagement & Communications
Support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, site events, and HR initiatives.
Assist with creating and distributing employee communications, flyers, calendars, announcements, and informational materials.
Maintain HR communication boards and employee resource areas.
Assist with employee anniversary, recognition, and other engagement-related tracking.
Support logistics for employee events across multiple shifts.
Operations & HR Process Support
Assist with maintaining and improving HR administrative processes, trackers, templates, and forms.
Provide day-to-day administrative support for the site HR function.
Support implementation and maintenance of paperless HR processes, including vacation requests and disciplinary documentation workflows.
Monitor administrative follow-ups and help ensure completed documentation is returned to HR.
Compile basic HR information and reports as requested.
Provide administrative support for HR projects and site initiatives.
Scope of Role
This position is intended to provide administrative and coordination support to Operations & Human Resources. The Operations & Administrative Support Coordinator does not independently make decisions regarding employee relations, discipline, grievances, compensation, hiring decisions, policy interpretation, or other matters requiring HR judgment.
The position will not independently complete employee enrollment or employee-data changes within Workday unless responsibilities are formally expanded and appropriate training and authorization are provided.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
Minimum three years’ experience working in a manufacturing, operations, or employee-facing environment.
Union experience preferred.
Previous administrative, HR, or office support experience.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
