IS Service Owner for SAP BASIS Infra

This Position reports to:
IS Service Owner
Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead defined service lines in the design and development of end-to-end lifecycle roadmaps and effective and efficient delivery of services together with a team of dedicated internal and external suppliers. Each day, you will be responsible to design, implement, and maintain the framework to deliver the services in scope, on time, within budget, and in line with the customer’s expectations. You will also showcase your expertise by managing multiple third-party global vendor contracts to assure high service quality and optimizing the cost.

This role is contributing to the core IS Services in India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Lead the strategy, governance, and operations of SAP BASIS infrastructure across on-premise and cloud (RISE/BTP) environments
Manage SAP landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4 HANA, MDG, SLT, GRC, etc.) including installations, upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and DR strategies
Own and drive SAP RISE platform management, ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational stability
Provide technical leadership on SAP BTP services and integrations, ensuring alignment with enterprise cloud strategy
Oversee system monitoring (SAP Cloud ALM), proactive issue detection, and performance optimization
Lead root cause analysis (deep dive into logs, traces, dumps) and ensure timely resolution of critical issues
Define and enforce standards for transport management, system refresh, patching, and change management
Drive cloud transformation and migration initiatives, including hyper-scaler alignment and architecture decisions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Architecture, Security, Application) to align infrastructure with business needs
Manage vendor relationships (e.g., TCS, SAP ECS, partners) ensuring service quality, SLA adherence, and cost optimization
Drive automation and innovation in BASIS operations (monitoring, housekeeping, performance improvements.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's or master's degree in any background, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
15+ years of SAP Basis experience in a leadership role.
Minimum 3+ years managing teams, stakeholders, and vendors in a service delivery environment
Should be able to manage VMs on Cloud(AWS, Azure, GCP)
Certifications required- ITIL certifications
Certifications preferred- PMP certifications, SAP BASIS/ RISE.
