Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Environmental Clearance (EC)
Coordinate preparation and submission of EC proposals.
Support preparation and review of EIA / EMP studies.
Monitor ToR compliance and EC conditions.
Coordinate public hearings and stakeholder consultations.
Follow up with MoEF&CC, SEIAA, EAC and SEAC for approvals.
Maintain records and approval documentation.
Forest Clearance (FC)
Prepare and track Forest Clearance proposals through the PARIVESH Portal.
Coordinate Stage-I and Stage-II approval requirements.
Monitor compliance related to CA, NPV and other FC conditions.
Liaise with Forest Departments and consultants.
Ensure timely submission of compliance reports.
CRZ Clearance
Support preparation and submission of CRZ applications.
Coordinate CRZ demarcation and CZMP compliance activities.
Liaise with SCZMA, NCZMA and consultants.
Track approval status and compliance conditions.
Mangrove & Coastal Ecosystem Approvals
Assist in obtaining mangrove diversion permissions.
Coordinate ecological and environmental studies.
Monitor implementation of restoration and conservation plans.
Ensure compliance with regulatory directions and approval conditions.
Wildlife & Biodiversity Clearances
Assist in obtaining NBWL and ESZ approvals.
Coordinate biodiversity studies and documentation.
Support compliance under Wildlife Protection Act and Biodiversity Act.
Liaise with Biodiversity Management Committees and authorities.
Pollution Control Consents
Obtain Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate from Pollution Control Boards.
Coordinate hazardous waste and environmental authorizations.
Ensure compliance with Water Act, Air Act and environmental regulations.
Maintain consent renewals and statutory submissions.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
Prepare environmental compliance reports.
Monitor statutory conditions and approval commitments.
Maintain environmental registers, databases and records.
Support environmental audits and inspections.
Track compliance submissions and regulatory deadlines.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Coordination
Liaise with MoEF&CC, SPCBs, Forest Departments, SCZMA, NCZMA and other authorities.
Coordinate with consultants for studies and approval documentation.
Support project teams in resolving environmental issues.
Participate in site inspections, regulatory meetings and consultations.
Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and government agencies.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification Essential
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Ecology, Forestry, Marine Science or related discipline.
Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering / Management, Ecology, Forestry, Coastal Science or Natural Resource Management.
Preferred
NABET / QCI accreditation.
ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification.
Certification in Environmental Law, GIS & Remote Sensing, ESG, Sustainability or related fields.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 10+ years of experience in environmental management and statutory approvals.
Proven experience in EC, FC, CRZ, Wildlife and Pollution Control approvals.
Experience in infrastructure, water supply, irrigation, ports, coastal, industrial, power, mining, highways or similar projects.
Working knowledge of the PARIVESH Portal and environmental clearance procedures.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of Indian environmental regulations.
Experience in EIA / EMP studies and environmental compliance.
Knowledge of EC, FC, CRZ, Wildlife and Pollution Control approval processes.
Good liaison and coordination skills with regulatory authorities.
Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
Proficiency in GIS, remote sensing and environmental data analysis.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and approval timelines.
