Assistant Manager - Financial Reporting

About the role
We are looking for a finance professional to support accounting, reconciliation, audit, and regulatory reporting activities. The role involves managing month-end close processes, performing loan and deposit reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in the banking, NBFC, or financial services industry, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and a keen eye for detail.
What you will do
Support month-end closure activities, post journal entries in accounting software and perform reasonableness checks on Trial Balance (TB) accounts; highlight and resolve unusual balances or movements
Coordinate with cross-functional teams for data requirements.
Perform end-to-end loan and deposit reconciliations.
Support internal and external audit assignments.
Provide accurate data and supporting schedules for regulatory returns
Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, recommending automation opportunities, and contributing to SOP development.
What you will need
CA with 1-2 years of experience
Strong grounding in accounting and high attention to detail
Prior experience in NBFC, banking, or financial services organizations is preferred
Exposure to loan management systems (LMS), core banking systems, or ERP platforms (Oracle, SAP) is desirable
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks applicable to NBFCs / banks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
