Role Description The Shop Floor Manager will oversee day-to-day operations on the shop floor at the Pune Division, ensuring production activities run safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards. This full-time on-site role includes managing shift schedules, monitoring workflows, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet output and performance targets. The role involves guiding and mentoring shop floor personnel, resolving operational issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The Shop Floor Manager will monitor customer requirements, support quality checks, and ensure that processes align with safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction goals. Reporting to plant leadership, the role requires proactive communication, timely reporting of key metrics, and active participation in training and development activities.
Qualifications
Strong operations management skills, including workflow planning, resource allocation, and adherence to production and safety standards.
Customer service and customer satisfaction skills to maintain product quality, respond to issues, and support continuous improvement of customer experience.
Effective communication skills for clear interaction with shop floor teams, supervisors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience in training and coaching team members to improve performance, safety awareness, and process understanding.
Proven experience in manufacturing or FMCG operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial shop floor role.
Knowledge of quality control, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies is beneficial.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and make data-driven decisions.
Relevant technical or engineering diploma/degree; additional certifications in operations or safety management are an advantage.
