Job Description

As an Executive Director – Utilities Operations Readiness, Utilities Governance & Utilities Business Enablement in Payments Utilities, you will be the leader who turns strategy into results across a high-visibility payments organization. You will lead enterprise operations readiness, governance, and business enablement to deliver critical payment capabilities with speed, quality, and control.
You will set the operating rhythm, drive cross-functional alignment, and ensure our governance forums and evidence are inspection-ready. You will strengthen controls and audit readiness while reducing operational friction through automation, analytics, and data-driven decisions that improve accuracy and cut manual touchpoints. You will shape the organization's workplace strategy and physical footprint, orchestrate senior visitor and client engagements, and lead workstream governance that keeps high-priority initiatives aligned and on track.
Partnering across technology, product, operations, risk, compliance, and leadership, you will be a trusted advisor to senior leadership and a force-multiplier across the organization. This is an opportunity to shape how we operate at scale.
Job Responsibilities
Operations Readiness for Utilities
Own the end-to-end operations readiness framework, including intake, assessment, planning, readiness validation, execution, stabilization, and continuous improvement
Drive timely delivery and optimization of strategic deployments and migrations across utilities
Ensure execution minimizes disruption while improving the speed and quality of delivery
Strengthen readiness communications through structured impact assessments and post-implementation reviews
Establish stakeholder forums and feedback loops to surface pain points and convert them into actionable improvements
Deliver automation and analytics initiatives that reduce manual work and improve turnaround time and accuracy
Work with operations, technology and product partners to understand/drive platform change impact, prioritize operations requirements, lead investment planning and track project delivery.
Utilities Governance
Define and enforce standardized controls and adoption across the organization
Build and maintain governance scorecards, reporting, and oversight routines aligned to control expectations
Support audit readiness by ensuring evidence, artifacts, and operating routines are inspection-ready
Establish and manage the operating cadence, including leadership meetings, governance forums, quarterly planning, business reviews, action tracking, and escalation processes
Provide senior-level transparency on delivery health, including progress, adoption, benefits realization, financial performance, and decisions required
Develop executive-ready communications and decision materials, including strategy documents, business reviews, governance packs, decision papers, and audit-support materials
Monitor reporting, processes, and procedures to lead best practices and ensure an effective control environment, and that the business is in compliance with line-of-business and corporate-wide objectives and policies
Business Enablement (Global Utilities and Payments Operations India Corporate center.)
Serve as senior business manager and strategic advisor to the function's leader, helping shape strategy, operating model, governance structure, and the senior management agenda
Lead the strategic agenda and deliverables for Payment Operations leadership and senior Finance and Business Management; gather, synthesize, analyze, and present data and findings to facilitate decision-making and business progression
Coordinate financial management including payment operations pipeline oversight and projections, forecasts, annual budgets, revenue reconciliation, and expense management
Develop presentations to communicate business strategy, performance, and priorities for both internal and external audiences; prepare materials for business performance reviews, operational reviews, offsites, external speaking engagements, industry conferences, and weekly meetings
Manage senior visitor coordination, including agenda planning, logistics, and executive briefings
Own client visit management end to end, ensuring seamless coordination across stakeholders
Lead workplace strategy and footprint planning to support organizational growth and operational needs
Drive workstream governance to keep cross-functional initiatives aligned, tracked, and on schedule
Establish strong rapport with functional partners, operations teams, and senior management
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Master's degree or Master of Business Administration degree
15 years+ of leadership experience managing teams and operations functions in a large, regulated environment
Demonstrated experience leading technology operations readiness and operating model execution at scale
Demonstrated experience building and running governance and controls frameworks, including scorecards and transparent reporting
Proven ability to run complex cross-functional programs with senior stakeholders across technology, product, operations, controls, and regional partners
Strong audit readiness discipline, including evidence management and timely closure of control gaps
Strong analytical and process optimization skills with a track record of delivering measurable efficiency outcomes
Experience using analytics and automation tools to improve execution and decision-making
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create crisp narratives for senior management
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and align competing priorities with sound risk and control judgment
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Payments domain experience, including end-to-end payment flows and the downstream impact of changes on settlement and reconciliation
Professional certification in operations readiness, project management, or risk management
Experience supporting senior leaders as a chief of staff or business manager, including operating rhythm and stakeholder communications
Experience leading business enablement and Corporate Center functions such as seating planning, senior visitor and client visit coordination, and workstream governance
Experience leading governance checkpoints to improve submission quality and decision outcomes
Experience launching and sustaining cross-utility control workstreams such as access governance
Experience delivering automation that reduces manual operational touchpoints and improves accuracy
Experience building a continuous improvement culture through structured enablement and adoption discipline
Experience using data analytics to proactively identify issues, mitigate risk, and improve performance
