General Ledger Accountant
About the job:
The main purpose of the role is to operate and oversee the GL activities of legal entities(s). The Senior Financial Accountant will manage complex accounting.
Perform accounting activities in compliance with US GAAP
Prepare and maintain accounting records in accordance with US GAAP
Provide monthly reconciliation on key and non-key accounts
Manage non-recurring journals, ensure approvals and proper evidence
Audit support (internally and externally)
Support the implementation of an automated accounting tool, provide recommendations for accounting simplification projects
Solving accounting issues
What we are looking for:
Economics or Finance & Accounting BA/BSc degree
3+ years finance and accounting experience
Experience in managing GL accounting and related SOX control
Fluency in English & Hungarian (both written and verbal)
Confident usage of ERP systems
Excel skills and general IT literacy
Outstanding attention to detail
Developed analytical, excellent interpersonal & problem-solving skills
Ability to meet priorities and deadlines, and to work under time pressure
Nice to have:
Understanding of US GAAP, SOX & Control
Other European language knowledge
