Senior Architect – Adobe AEM

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect with strong expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud Service, including headless implementations and integrations. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, high-performance digital experience solutions, driving architecture decisions, and leading delivery for enterprise-grade AEM programs.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive end-to-end architecture for AEM Cloud Service implementations (Sites, Assets, Headless).
Lead solution design for headless CMS architecture using AEM (Content Fragments, GraphQL APIs).
Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems such as CRM, DAM, eCommerce platforms, CDP, and third-party APIs.
Provide technical leadership across AEM Cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Establish best practices around component design, reusable frameworks, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with business, UX, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Lead and mentor technical teams, conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and governance.
Define strategies for multi-site, multi-region, and multi-channel delivery.
Ensure adherence to security, accessibility, and compliance standards.
Drive adoption of headless and hybrid CMS patterns across web, mobile, and emerging channels.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and ensure platform reliability and performance.
Required Skills:
Overall 12-15 years software development experience.
8-10 years of hands-on experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x and AEM Cloud Service).
Strong experience with:
AEM Sites, Assets, and Templates
OSGi, Sling, JCR, HTL (Sightly)
AEM Cloud Service architecture and deployment model
Deep understanding of AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) and cloud-native principles.
Experience in designing end to end AEM architecture for implementation on cloud
Proven experience in AEM Headless implementations such as Content Fragments & Experience Fragments, GraphQL APIs in AEM
Experience integrating AEM with - Frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Next.js, etc.), REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms
Exposure to API-first and microservices architecture.
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and backend development.
Experience with frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, Jenkins, or similar tools.
Familiarity with Adobe ecosystem (e.g., Adobe Target, Analytics, Campaign) is a plus.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
Understanding of AEM Cloud Manager pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployment patterns.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience working with global teams and enterprise clients.
Ability to drive technical strategy and roadmap discussions.
Proven leadership in mentoring and guiding teams.
Required to have Adobe AEM Architect certifications.
Experience in large-scale digital transformation programs.
Exposure to composable architecture and MACH principles.
Knowledge of performance tuning, SEO, and accessibility standards.
