Role Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Java Developer to work closely with the Java Engineering Architect in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale banking and payments solutions. The role involves building high-quality backend services, implementing architecture designs, integrating enterprise systems, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, API development, event-driven architectures, good to have banking/payments experience, with a passion for engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain enterprise-grade backend services and APIs based on architecture and solution designs.
Work closely with the Java Architect to implement scalable, secure, and resilient banking and payments solutions.
Build reusable services supporting cross-border banking and transformation initiatives.
Develop microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and REST APIs.
Integrate with upstream and downstream systems, internal platforms, and third-party services.
Participate in sprint planning, technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture walkthroughs.
Demonstrate progress during sprint reviews and support technical showcases to stakeholders.
Follow engineering best practices for coding, testing, security, performance, and maintainability.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support production environments when required.
MUST Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar platforms to improve productivity and code quality.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, and RESTful APIs..
Good understanding of event-driven architecture, Kafka, messaging patterns, and asynchronous processing.
Strong knowledge of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
Experience working with Oracle, PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
Experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs, messaging, and middleware technologies.
