Role Description The Team Lead Logistics at Delhivery is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics operations within an assigned facility or region. This role includes managing inbound and outbound shipments, monitoring delivery timelines, coordinating with warehouse teams, transport partners, and customer support to ensure smooth order processing and dispatch. The Team Lead will plan shift schedules, allocate resources, track performance metrics, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and service quality. They will lead and mentor a team of logistics associates, provide training, resolve operational issues, and ensure adherence to company policies and compliance standards. The role also involves regular reporting, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and supporting new initiatives and technologies deployed across Delhivery’s network.
Qualifications
Strong Communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, partners, and customers, and for clear reporting and documentation.
Effective Planning and organizational skills to manage shifts, routes, resources, and daily operational priorities.
Proven Team Management and Team Leadership experience, including mentoring staff, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles, including warehousing, transportation, inventory flows, and logistics best practices.
Experience in logistics, courier, or transportation operations, preferably in high-volume or fast-paced environments.
Ability to work on-site in Chennai with flexibility for shift-based operations if required.
Proficiency in using logistics or warehouse management systems, dashboards, and basic MS Office tools.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
