SAP FICO / JVA Consultant – Oil & Gas

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO / Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) Consultant to join our team on-site, supporting financial operations within the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate brings solid functional expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling modules, with practical experience in JVA processes within oil and gas environments.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and support SAP FICO and JVA modules aligned with Oil & Gas business processes, including joint venture operations and cost tracking.
Handle core JVA processes such as joint venture setup, partner configuration, billing statements, and cash call management.
Work with finance and operations teams to translate business needs into SAP solutions.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including JVA settlements and basic financial reporting.
Configure and maintain GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Profit Center Accounting.
Support integration between FICO and modules such as MM, PM, and PS for oil field cost tracking and AFE management.
Provide system support, issue resolution, and end-user training for finance and JV accounting teams.
Work alongside ABAP developers by providing functional input for reports and enhancements.
Assist in system upgrades and data migration activities as needed
Job requirement:
5+ years of SAP FICO experience with at least one full-cycle implementation.
Working knowledge of SAP JVA (Joint Venture Accounting) module — required.
Basic understanding of Oil & Gas financial processes such as joint operating agreements (JOAs) and AFE tracking.
Hands-on experience with GL, AP, AR, and Cost Center Accounting configuration.
Familiarity with SAP integration across MM, PM, or PS modules.
Good communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
