Role Description The Ground Coordinator is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations at the logistics facility in Guindy, ensuring timely movement, sorting, and dispatch of parcels and freight. This full-time, on-site role includes coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, monitoring loading/unloading activities, and aligning ground teams with hub and line-haul schedules. The role involves tracking consignments, updating operational systems, and communicating with warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisors to resolve delays, exceptions, and service issues. The Ground Coordinator also supports adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards, prepares basic operational reports, and assists in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize ground processes and resource utilization.
Qualifications
Experience in ground operations, logistics coordination, or warehouse supervision, preferably in a high-volume parcel or freight environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple shipments, routes, and priorities simultaneously.
Working knowledge of logistics or warehouse management systems, basic data entry, and comfort using mobile and web-based applications.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with drivers, handlers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities for handling exceptions, shipment discrepancies, and on-ground issues.
Understanding of safety protocols and compliance practices in logistics or warehouse operations.
Willingness to work in shift-based schedules and in a fast-paced, on-site operational environment.
Minimum high school diploma; a degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is an advantage.
Prior experience in the logistics, e-commerce, or transportation sector in or around Guindy will be beneficial.
