Role: CI/CD Automation Engineer
Overview
We are seeking CI/CD Automation Engineers to design, build, and operationalize standardized CI/CD pipelines across Affinity. This role is fully hands-on and focused on delivery. Engineers will work under the guidance of the CI/CD Tech Lead to implement reusable pipeline templates, integrate engineering tools, and onboard applications to a consistent delivery model.
The role requires strong engineering discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to translate standards into working automation.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Development and Automation
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
Build reusable YAML templates for build, test, and release workflows
Implement “build once, promote” pipeline patterns across environments
Automate end-to-end workflows from code commit through deployment
Ensure pipelines are modular, scalable, and easy for teams to adopt
Tool Integration and Enforcement
Integrate Engineering Tools Into CI/CD Pipelines, Including
SonarQube for code quality and coverage
Snyk for SCA and SAST scanning
Wiz for secrets and security posture
Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) for runtime validation
Configure and enforce quality gates, security checks, and policy controls
Ensure pipelines fail fast when standards are not met
Pull Request and Branching Enablement
Implement and enforce PR templates and validation checks
Configure branch policies in Azure DevOps aligned to trunk-first development
Automate PR “skills” Including Validation Of
Linked work items
Risk classification
Test evidence and coverage
Support enforcement of short-lived branches and merge discipline
Application Onboarding
Partner with application teams to onboard services to standardized pipelines
Refactor existing pipelines to align with defined templates and controls
Identify gaps in current implementations and remediate through automation
Provide hands-on support during onboarding and early adoption
