Install, configure, and maintain Sybase IQ and/or Oracle databases.
Monitor and optimize database performance (query tuning, indexing).
Implement and manage backup & recovery strategies.
Handle high availability, replication, and disaster recovery setups.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database code.
Automate DBA activities using scripting and programming skills.
Perform capacity planning and manage database growth.
Ensure database security, access control, and compliance.
Collaborate with development teams for schema design and performance tuning.
Troubleshoot database issues (locks, deadlocks, slow queries, failures).
